GRADING SYLLABUS

FOR

2ND KYU

 

 BROWN BELT GOING FOR BROWN 1 STRIP

 

SECTION 1 PRESENTATION

 

Your grading will be marked in four sections

 

1: presentation

2: kion

3: kata

4: kumite

5: Pad work

 

To pass your grading you must pass 4 of the 5 sections.

You must also have attended at least 40 training sessions.

 

Section 1 presentation:

1.1  Your grading form must be filled in with a minimum of 40 training sessions. Including one grading course. Juniors under 16 must have a signature stating they have the right attitude towards fellow students and all adults.

1.2  Your karate GI (suit) must be clean and pressed with club badge.

1.3  Boys must never wear a t-shirt of any kind under GI. Girls must ALWAYS wear a white vest under the GI. Girls without a vest will not be able to grade or train.

1.4  No jewellery is to be worn. (Wedding rings can be worn if covered with a plaster.)

1.5  When your name is called you must say oz sensei and run to you line ready for your grading exam to begin.

1.6  When you are waiting to grade and when you have finished you must not talk or move about. Disturbing the grading in any way will fail you on this section.  

1.7  You must have 6 months between 3rd kyu grading and 2nd kyu grading.
